chapters, and over 200 presentations covering such areas as
strategic management, case study development and use, competitive

business ethics, management decision making, modeling of cognitive
and behavioral management processes, contingency theory, business
process re-engineering, computer information systems, group
decision support systems for management, expert knowledge-based
systems, and innovative teaching. His latest cross-disciplinary
specialty is using drama and theater techniques to teach and do
management, as well as management of enterprises. He has also
studied Business Ethics in drama.
His first articles on strategic management and situational
decision theory were published in Harvard Business Review in 1970
and 1971. His first book on strategic management was published in
1969 (Prentice-Hall). His books include three on expert systems and
computer information systems development in 1992 (Macmillan), five

Schuster, The Planning Forum); and four on multinational strategic
management in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2003 (John Wiley and Sons,
Quorum Books, Haworth Press, and Strategic Management Research
Group Publishing).
Three of his books have been translated into Chinese and
