Dr. Igor M. Tomic has been with St. John’s University since 1987
as a member of the Economics and Finance Department of the Tobin’s
College of Business. In addition to teaching, he currently
serves as the Director of the Financial Services Institute and is
the Editor of the Review of Business, a peer-reviewed
journal.
Dr. Tomic is a Fulbright Fellow and was the Citizen Ambassador
to Poland, Czechoslovakia and Russia. He organized many
conferences in the US and abroad, has published and presented
numerous articles at international conferences and has written two
textbooks. Most of his research has been in the area of
mergers and acquisitions, global privatization and common
currencies. He is a supporter of Service Learning and
Microfinance, two programs that have a home at St. John’s
University.
