Our Neighbor to the South
Mexico is our largest trading partner and the most populous
Spanish-speaking nation in Latin America—and economic engine
driven, in part, by Puebla—one of Mexico’s largest cities and a
UNESCO World Heritage site. So Cholula, a suburb just a few miles
from downtown Puebla and the location of one of the largest
pyramids in the word, is an ideal place to engage in the diverse
history and culture of modern Latin America. Classes are held
at the Universidad de las Americas (UDLA), a prestigious modern
university with the largest library in Mexico.
Courses offered in the past have included:
- Spanish Level One OR
- Spanish Level Two
- Art – Pre Columbian Art
- History – History of Latin America
- Sociology: Introduction to Sociology
