Bring history to life while exploring the
charms of “old” and “new” Asia in dynamic Vietnam!
Considering summer courses? Travel to Vietnam and embark on the
experience of a lifetime, all while earning 3-6 credits! Experience
Vietnam’s distinctive history: from the French colonial period, to
the war with the United States, and finally, to its emergence as a
unified Communist nation, you’ll come to understand how Vietnam
came to its current standing in today’s international
community.
Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh city, an immense network
of underground passages used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam
War before traveling to the beautiful capital city of Hanoi, filled
with old world charm. Experience 600 year old architecture in the
Old Quarter of Hanoi and shop for elegant silk clothing and
souvenirs in the Silk Village. The program culminates in a magical
