Summer Programs

How do you define your summer experience?  How would you like to define it?  Something new? Exciting? Meaningful?

The Office of Global Studies at St. John’s University lets you re-define your summer. We offer you the opportunity to personally experience fresh, new cultures through our faculty-driven student-focused programs.

Whether you’re attending a performance of Romeo and Juliet at the reconstructed Globe Theater in London, digging through an archaeological site in Greece, or sampling fresh cheeses and prosciutto at one of the vast open-air markets in Rome, you’ll find countless opportunities to learn and grow when you study abroad with St. John’s. Our wide selection of programs and classes give you a new way to define your summer break.

We believe that every student needs a global perspective for success in their personal and professional lives. To this end, we offer a variety of study abroad options to suit your needs. Summer opportunities give you flexibility to take additional credits in a short time period while enjoying the advantages of studying abroad.

Our summer programs provide all the benefits of intensive experiential learning while accommodating students with more specific academic- or time-related considerations. As with all our programs, you’ll make extensive use of the local environment as part of your classroom experience.

St. John’s unique courses will immerse you in such disciplines as language and culture, communications, history and art. In addition, these programs allow you ample time to explore your surroundings on you own and become immersed in your new home cities.

  • Full immersion in a foreign country
