Service in Paris!

Dates: TBD, 2011
The School of Education Service Trip seeks to unite the
Vincentian Mission of service with the excitement of living in
Paris, France. Imagine yourself working with children and
adolescents at French elementary and secondary schools. Seize
the moment, and engage in teaching them skills they will retain for
the rest of their lives! In Paris, students will engage in
service activities such as taking part in after school programs,
observations, working at a soup kitchen, and dialogues in French
schools.
Additionally you will have the unique opportunity to teach
English to a group of French children from grades K-6 & 7-12
(with the aid of the professor) even speak with French
administrators and teachers about challenges within the school
system. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear first
and of the differences between the French and US educational
systems. Other service opportunities will be offered such as work
in a local soup kitchen, etc.
Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to explore
the true soul of Paris by experiencing first hand the artistic,
architectural, and cultural beauty of the Country. Take
advantage of expanding your knowledge of global education and
teaching styles and serving others in Paris, France!
