A new video contest – Capture the Storm: SOS
(Support our Students) – lets students flex their creativity to
compete for $2,500 or more in scholarship money.
Students who participate will be creating and submitting short
videos explaining how the donations of alumni and friends directly
benefit them.
Once the videos are submitted, all members of the St. John's
community – alumni, friends, parents, faculty, administrators and
students – will be able to vote for their favorite video. It costs
$5 to vote (allowing you to vote up to five times
that day), and your $5 will be added to the total
scholarship prize. The voting period will begin on January 15, and
we'll be sure to remind you as that date gets closer.
This contest is a fun way to show off the talent of our students
and provide a substantial scholarship in the process, but awareness
and promotion is critical to its success. Be sure to encourage
students to enter Capture the Storm: SOS, and you can learn more
about the contest here.
