St. John’s University has partnered with the company Digication
to make electronic portfolios available to all of our students over
the next few years. All freshmen and sophomores, most graduate
students, and several other student cohorts have received
e-Portfolio accounts, as have both full-time and adjunct
faculty.
You may have already begun to create a portfolio. If not, simply go
to http://stjohns.digication.com. Take a few seconds to watch the
very short video, then log in as you would to St. John’s
Central.
This software offers a wonderful opportunity for students and
faculty to create an aca-demic web-site displaying their
accomplishments in a visually appealing, organized, and personal
manner. It also has a variety of effective pedagogical uses and can
be set up as a course website. This workshop will introduce you to
Digication and to using it as a tool for teaching and
learning.
