An international “food festival,” uplifting music, volunteerism
and a lecture by one of today’s most intriguing public figures—St.
John’s University will host these and other events emphasizing the
synergy between scholarly research and Vincentian service as part
of this year’s Founder’s Week celebration.
Week 2013, September 22–28, will feature more than 20 separate
events scheduled at the
Manhattan campuses as well as St. John’s locations in
Europe. The theme, “Be Vincentian: Scholar and Servant,” will
focus on the important research conducted around the world by those
working in varied ways toward the systemic change advocated by
St. Vincent de Paul.
