Award
Awards for each fellowship varies from $5,000 to $20,000; please check website for more information on the specific aware you are interested in.

Application Deadline
Deadline for fellowships is January 16, 2013.

Qualifications
Each fellowship has various requirements, but must at least be a graduating senior by the time application is sent in.  Check website for more information.

Application Process

Must send in:

  • An application form and headshot
  • A 1 page outline of prior education, awards, fellowships, and internships
  • A 5 to 10-page essay written on the theme of the fellowship for which you are applying
  • A 3 to 5 page personal philosophical, and professional autobiography
  • A 5 to 10 pager academic writing sample
  • Three academic letters or recommendation
  • Official transcript
  • Brief responses to questions listed on website

History
The Intercollegiate Studies Institute articulates and defends the ideas of a free society on the American college campus.  ISI is also a strong proponent of high standards for college education, because an educated citizenry is vital to representative democracy.  The Institute’s programs enhance the quality of learning and thus further understanding of the norms and institutions necessary for a society that is virtuous, human, and free.
