Lois Cherepon

Prof. Cherepon is a full time Associate Professor at St. John's University Libraries and an adjunct instructor at the College of Professional Studies, where she has taught the Computer Applications in the Law Office course for over three years. Prof. Cherepon has been on the St.John's University faculty since 1987.

She is Head of Reference Services at the Loretto Memorial Library on the Staten Island Campus, where she coordinates both the print and database reference collections. She also serves as coordinator of Library Instructional Services.

In addition to teaching at the College of Professional Studies, Prof. Cherepon also presents library workshops and classes on conducting legal research. Prior to her experience at SJU, she was a law librarian for the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and District Courts in Newark, NJ. She also served as a Government Documents librarian at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where she was awarded a Post-Graduate Internship. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
