CRJ 3109: Forensic Fire Investigation

Course Description
This course presents a body of knowledge, which is essential in conducting a forensic fire investigation.  It describes how fire burns, what factors control its behavior, and how all fires do not necessarily behave in a precisely predictable fashion. It also discusses the fundamental combustion properties of liquid, gaseous and solid fuels.  Also covered are electrical causes of fire, clothing and fabric fires, explosions, hazardous materials fires, vehicle fires and related deaths and injuries.
