The St. John's University community joins again in the fight
against childhood cancer—and we're doing it bigger and better than
last year! On Thursday, March 14, at 1:45 p.m. in
the D'Angelo Center Living Room, several generous colleagues will
"go bald" in solidarity with children suffering from this terrible

- Jack Flynn, director of student conduct
- Rino Grzinic '77SVC, associate director of
- John Konecsni, PhD, assistant dean of allied
health and industrial sciences
- Jason Miller, head coach of the men's lacrosse
- Robert Mangione, EdD, RPh, provost
- Daniel Trujillo, PhD, associate vice president
of student affairs and dean of students
- Suzette Weiss, secretary for pharmaceutical
Also, Andrea Licari, CPS, professor of management
and marketing, will be cutting her "Locks of Love" by 10 inches.
Plus, many of our wonderful and loving students will donate their
hair to make wigs for children whose treatment causes hair
Even if you decide not to shave your head or cut your hair, there
are other opportunities to join in the day's festivities and
support the effort. Though over $17,000 has been
raised already, we need our help to reach our goal and make St.
John's donation the largest it has ever been.
For five dollars, grab a lunch-to-go, featuring
great food from local eateries. Or buy a raffle ticket to win a
Kindle Fire, a flat-screen tv,
and much more. Raffle tickets will be sold for two
dollars each, or three for five dollars, starting on
Thursday, March 7. You need to be present at the
event to win.
