What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

Your health and wellness is important to us. An EAP helps employees and their household or family members to handle life's challenges successfully – from routine concerns to major crises. By offering a wide range of services in the areas of emotional well-being, family and care giving, daily living, legal and financial assistance, and health and wellness, the EAP program is there for you when you need it.

Whether you need assistance related to stress management, healthy aging, parenting, relationships, substance abuse, adoption or eldercare, EAP is your 24/7 resource. Even if you have complex matters that may require evaluation, crisis response, short-term counseling, or referral services, the EAP - More to Life™ can help you.

  • Visit the St. John's University Work-Life Programs website provided by the Office of Human Resources or call 718-990-1488.
  • Log on to the More to Life™ website directly at www.moretolifeonline.com (enter the username: stj and the password: member) to start accessing information, tools, links and resources right away.  The website also offers an instant messaging feature, LiveCONNECT, that lets you chat online with a Work-Life Consultant.
  • Call the More to Life™ confidential helpline at (888) 777-0052 to speak with a professional counselor on the phone or to schedule an in-person appointment. You can meet with a counselor on the Queens campus, or at locations locally or nationwide.


What else should I know?

The EAP provides employees with free wellness workshops on campus on a host of topics throughout the year. Look for these workshops on the Human Resources Training and Development calendar online.
