Hundreds of prospects visited the St. John’s University Queens
campus during Accepted Students Day on Sunday, April 14, 2013 to
meet with academic deans, faculty and students as well as enjoy a
lunch that featured foods from around the world.
Joan Ball, assistant professor of marketing, spoke to future
students during her session entitled “Smart Business in a Smart
Phone World” about how mobile applications and social media have
changed the face of global business and the steps companies are
taking to keep up with the pace.
“This is great news for the next generation of young business
leaders who have the skills and insights gained from a lifetime of
technology,” said Ball.
Workshop attendees learned how their love of technology, gaming,
social media and constant connection can pave the way for an
interesting and lucrative career in business.
