St. John's University President, Rev. Donald J. Harrington, C.M.
has appointed Robert A. Mangione, Ed.D., currently Dean of the
College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, to serve as Interim
Provost, effective August 1.
“St. John’s has been searching for a Provost to replace Julia
Upton, RSM, Ph.D., who has chosen to return to the faculty as
Distinguished Professor of Theology and who will also hold the
title of Special Assistant to the President,” said Rev. Harrington,
C.M. “I trust that the University community will join me in
offering Bob our gratitude and support as he assumes this new
assignment until a permanent Provost is named.”
