"As a special education major, I
entered The School of Education ready to take on anything. I
soon encountered a great sense of community and found it easy to
gain insight and experience. The advisors are accessible and
take the time to get to know their students which makes us feel
that we are important and more than a student ID number at St
John's. There is also a feeling of spirit that can be
appreciated by the freshman, the senior, or adult
learner."
- Lauren Martindale '11, Childhood/Special
Education
"I love the closeness of the school, everyone knows everyone
even professors. You are always seen and treated like family
when getting advised which is always helpful because they helped
thoroughly with your entire education.
Other schools may give classes but at St. John’s theyhelp
with the entire process of getting certified. They give
the seminars, the finger printing, tell everyone about the tests
that must be taken. An SOE student is never
uninformed.
