Computer Science, Mathematics and Science

Computer Science is a fast moving and ever-changing discipline. St. John's programs in computer science and telecommunications are built around a core of key courses structured to provide a solid foundation of knowledge leading to careers in the world of information technology.

The study of computer science at St. John's University brings together the theory and practice of computing to provide students with the knowledge and skills with which to solve a wide range of technical and business problems. Degree Programs
There are three major programs offered by this division. which address the mainstream needs of careers in the broad fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Telecommunications. Each of these majors can be paired with a choice from several options, providing the student with the ability to concentrate on important and relevant areas that help position the graduate for jobs that meet their interests and aptitudes.  These options include Business, Telecommunications, Media Graphics, Security, and Graphic Design.  Click the heading above for more specific information on the degree programs.

Faculty
The faculty in this division are dedicated to providing a quality educational experience in these fields. They are constantly re-assessing course offerings to keep the program relevant and competitive to the rapidly changing world of information technology. Many telecommunications professionals teach part time, bringing their real life expertise into the classroom.
