Major Area Requirements

6 additional credits in computer science, 3 of these must be selected from CUS 1144 or higher numbered courses.

Specialized Area Requirements
18 semester hours of courses in safety and corporate security (SEC)

  • Introduction to Commercial Security and Governmental Safety
  • Contemporary Legal Issues in Private and Public Protection

12 additional credits selected from the following:

  • Loss Prevention and Business Security
  • Disaster Response and Hazard Control

Free Electives
9 semester hours selected from the courses offered through any of the undergraduate units of St. John's University.

Students completing this program will have a minor in safety and corporate security as well as a major in information technology.

A second language (6 credits) may be substituted for these courses.
