Requirements
As majors in Funeral Service Administration, students must
successfully complete two years of 60 semester hours of credit at
St. John’s. Upon completing this requirement with an index of at
least 2.0 or better, students are permitted to register for
course-work at the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral
Service.
At the American Academy McAllister Institute, students may
complete the Standard Diploma Program for a total of 42 credits
toward the B.S. in Funeral Service Administration at St. John’s. If
students complete the A.O.S. degree at the American Academy
McAllister Institute, which includes the Standard Diploma Program,
they may receive a total of 48 credits toward their St. John’s
degree.
Students who have already taken the AAMI program may enroll in
the College of Professional Studies to complete the B.S. in Funeral
Service Administration. The program may be completed in evening or
weekend sessions, or online through Online Learning. Each student
must receive his or her degree from AAMI for any credit to be
applicable at St. John’s.
