Please join us for the Feast of St.
Vincent de Paul at St. Thomas More Church today, Thursday,
12:15 p.m., September 27.
Each year on this day, the church and our University community
honor the life and work of St. Vincent, Founder of the Congregation
of the Mission. As a Vincentian university, St. John’s continues to
uphold the tradition of academic excellence and service to those in
need. It is through the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul that we
strive to be a living institutional witness to Christ and His
Gospel.
As we gather for this special mass, we consider the challenge to
enter this political season as persons of faith. Following the
example of St. Vincent de Paul, we seek the common good for
all—especially those living in poverty or under oppression.
Join us as we pray for the wisdom to strengthen our efforts to be
Vincentian, faith-filled citizens.
