Vincent C. Alexander, the Charles M. Sparacio Professor of Law,
is leading a panel on Evidence at the 2005 Winter Bench and Bar
Conference of the Federal Bar Council in Kona, Hawaii, on February
2, 2005. This annual conference brings together federal judges,
practitioners and law professors from within the Second Judicial
Circuit to address current litigation issues in the federal
courts. For his panel, Professor Alexander developed a trial
vignette and discussion paper on the topics of expert witnesses and
the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Crawford v. Washington,
which significantly altered the criminal defendant’s constitutional
right of confrontation.
