Requirements for Internships

Students should be junior or senior status with 60 credits completed at time of application.  At least 12 credits should be completed in your major area with a GPA of 2.75 or better.

Applying for the Internship
If you meet requirements you may obtain internships through your Department Chair, Program Director or Internship coordinator.  Choose from the department listing of established interships.

  • Send your resume to site supervisor.
  • Schedule an interview with supervisor.
  • Once hired, seek mentorship at work site.

Preparing to Intern
When you are preparing for your internship, talk with your professors.  You should also research your future career area and create an effective resume and tailored cover letters.  Learn and practice interview skills and get involved.
