Safety

Thinking Safe at All Times
This is New York City. Observe these Precautions at all times especially at night:

  • If it is after dark, walk with a group whenever possible
  • Off campus - after dark, walk without talking on a Cell Phone or listening to your Ipod.
  • Take measures to be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • On campus - poles with red phones attached to them can be used at any time to contact Public Safety.
  • Keep your wallet secure while riding buses and subways to avoid pickpockets
  • Never ride in a regular car that says it is a taxi
  • Keep the number of a taxi service in your phone for emergencies
