Picture Yourself Getting A Scholarship
St. John’s University has a long tradition of providing students
with an affordable Catholic education within New York City. The
University offers competitive scholarships to
new freshman, ranging from $5,000 up to full tuition scholarships,
in addition to any financial aid you might be eligible
for. St. John’s also does it’s best to meet the needs of each
student and close the gap between total tuition costs and what each
family can expect to pay.
St. John’s also offers extensive payment plans. The Fixed Rate
tuition plan allows students and their families to lock in their
tuition rate as a freshman for the next four years and avoid any
tuition increases. The Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Supplemental
Educational Opportunity Grants, and Federal Work-Study are
University administered aid programs, while Pell Grants are awarded
to eligible students, but through a federal processor.
St. John’s awards all merit-based money within the student
accept letter. Anyone applying to St. John’s is highly encouraged
to submit their FAFSA form by Feb. 1, 2010 in order for the
University to have adequate time to prepare a financial aid
package. Students applying for the Catholic Student Scholarship (up
to $2,000) and the Ozanam Scholars Program (up to $10,000) need to
submit those seperate applications by Feb. 1, 2010.
