Ozanam Scholars Program

This program provides a select group of scholars with a unique and innovative learning experience. The Ozanam Scholars Program connects small student groups with dedicated faculty to contribute to solving real world problems in local, national and international communities. Ozanam Scholars receive up to a $10,000 scholarship renewable annually for the four-year program. The Program is for first-time incoming freshman only and the application deadline has passed.

Students who apply for both the Ozanam and Catholic Scholars cannot be selected for both and must express their preference during their scholarship interview process.

Catholic Scholars Program

Catholic Scholars take part in a four-year developmental program that translates faith into action. Prospective freshmen apply for this scholarship, and if chosen will receive a grant of $5,000 per year which will be awarded for four years of study.  Students will commit themselves to faith-based leadership training, service and prayer, and formation of a deeper understanding of what it means to be a leader inspired by the Catholic tradition. Catholic Scholars assume important leadership roles within the community of faith and service at St. John's University in preparation for becoming faith-inspired Catholic leaders for life. Catholic Student Scholarship

St. John's is committed to preparing Catholic students for ethical leadership. Our Catholic Student Scholarship offers, awards based on availability, to college-bound Catholic students regardless of the secondary school they attend. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 and are for first-time incoming freshman only.

Eligible applicants must be Roman Catholic; have at least a B average and combined minimum SAT score of 1000 or a minimum ACT composite score of a 22; graduate from high school by June 2013 and begin their freshman year in fall 2013; submit a scholarship application (including essay) to the Office of Admission. The deadline for this scholarship has passed.

Fine Arts Scholarship

St. John’s Department of Fine Arts is offering full and partial scholarships to Fall incoming freshmen who demonstrate a proficiency in the visual arts: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, graphic design and photography.

The Notre Dame College Alumnae Association Sister Helen Flynn Endowed Scholarship

Established for those who choose to study at the Staten Island campus in an environment conducive to Sister Helen Flynn’s ideals of service, education and faith. The scholarship currently provides $6,000 per year of undergraduate study for the three-year or four-year degree granting program students are accepted into at the time the scholarship is awarded. Applicants must submit the Sister Helen Application and the other required materials by February 25, 2013. Please click for more information.
