Picture Yourself at Vincentian University
St. Vincent DePaul, who founded the Vincentian
Order of Priests in the 1600’s, dedicated his life’s work to
serving the poor and those in need. In the spirit of St. Vincent
and as a Vincentian university, St. John’s students are given
numerous opportunities to participate in service learning programs
through monthly volunteering, Plunges, and the Ozanam Scholars
Program. St. John’s strives to give students an education in the
classroom, along with an ability to change the world around them. A
St. John’s education will encompass both an academic education and
a shared experience in helping those less fortunate.
As a student at St. John’s you will have the opportunity to meet
and really get to know the Vincentian priests who are active on
campus. The president of the university, Rev. Donald J.
Harrington, C.M., is active with the students, while the
Vincentians work in the dean’s offices, are professors, and work
within the administration.
