Public Safety and the 107 Precinct of the New York City Police
Department (NYPD) are hosting two crime prevention events for our
campus community. On Tuesday, October 23, and Tuesday, November 20,
a Crime Prevention Police Officer will be at the University's
Queens campus in the ROTC building to engrave and etch laptops,
cell phones, iPads and any other valuable items that need to be
easily identifiable.
The officer will also register the serial number of and engrave any
bicycle that is brought to the Public Safety office. Registering
bicycles and engraving your other property is a theft deterrent and
increases the chance that your property is returned to you if it is
recovered from a criminal.
All are welcome.
