Presentation of the
Pietas Medal
to
Vincent Cary Alexander
Vincent Cary Alexander received his J.D. cum laude from
St. John’s School of Law in 1975. He began as a litigator at Mudge,
Rose, Guthrie & Alexander but in 1977 returned to alma
mater to join the faculty of the School of Law, where he
currently serves as The Charles M. Sparacio Professor of Law. He
has been named “Professor of the Year” at the School of Law on
seven separate occasions. He is a member of the University’s
Academic Planning Committee and in 2009 served as Faculty
Coordinator of the search committee for the Law School Dean. A
member of The Loughlin Society, he received the St. John’s
University President’s Medal in 2000 and the Dean John J. Murphy
Award from the Law Alumni Association in 2007. In celebration of
his exemplary career, his loyalty to alma mater and the
35th anniversary of his graduation, St. John’s University is
pleased to present the Pietas Medal to Vincent Cary Alexander.
