Brian V. Breheny

A double alumnus of St. John’s University, Brian V. Breheny received his B.S. in Accounting from St. John’s College of Business Administration in 1990 and his J.D. from St. John’s School of Law in 1996. He currently serves as Deputy Director, Legal and Regulatory Policy, Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He is an Adjunct Professor at Howard University School of Law and from 2004-2008 served on the faculty of Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of St. John’s Board of Governors, a former Member of the Board of Directors and former President of the Washington, DC Chapter of St. John’s School of Law Alumni Association and a member of The Loughlin Society. In celebration of his exemplary legal career, his devotion to alma mater and the 20th anniversary of his undergraduate graduation, St. John’s University is pleased to present the Pietas Medal to Brian V. Breheny.
