Presentation of the
Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award
to
Josephine Ferro Cuccia
Josephine Ferro Cuccia received her undergraduate degree from
University College in 1942 and her L.L.B. from St. John’s
School of Law in 1945. She began her professional career with brief
clerkships in the publishing and insurance industries, and in 1946
established her own private law practice. After marrying Joseph
Cuccia, an attorney at law, in 1949, Josephine Ferro’s law firm
became Ferro and Cuccia. She has served her clients as a private
practice attorney for more than six decades, and is admitted to
practice in a number of state and federal courts, including the
United States Supreme Court. A loyal double alumna, she supports
alma mater as a member of The Loughlin Society. Tonight,
in celebration of her exemplary legal career and on the occasion of
the 65th anniversary of her graduation from the School of Law, St.
John’s University is pleased to present the Alumni Outstanding
Achievement Award to Josephine Ferro Cuccia.
