Presentation of theAlumni Outstanding Achievement Award to
Mahendra G. Shah
A double alumnus of St. John’s University, Mahendra G. Shah received his M.S. in Pharmacy in 1977 and his Ph.D. in Industrial Pharmacy in 1985, both from St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Currently Executive in Residence at Vivo Ventures, he has held leadership positions in several pharmaceutical companies, serving as Vice President at Astella Pharmaceuticals, Vice President at E. J. Financial, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Sciele Pharmaceuticals and Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Nextwave Pharmaceuticals. He supports alma mater through membership in The Loughlin Society. Tonight, recognizing his record of accomplishment in the pharmaceutical industry and the 25th anniversary of the awarding of his doctoral degree, St. John’s University is pleased to present the Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award to Mahendra G. Shah.
