Presentation of the
Pietas Medal
to
Nina Pannizzo Oliva
Nina Pannizzo Oliva received her B.S. in Pharmacy from St.
John’s College of Pharmacy in 1956. Following graduation, she
embarked upon a long and distinguished career. Her first post was
as a community pharmacist in Brooklyn. She later spent nearly 18
years at Good Samaritan Hospital on Long Island, beginning as a
Staff Pharmacist and then rising to the position of Director of
Pharmacy. During her time at Good Samaritan she was also the
Chairperson of the Pharmacy Buying Group of the Nassau-Suffolk
County Health Systems Council. Her love for alma mater is evidenced
through membership in both The Loughlin Society and The McCallen
Society. Tonight, in celebration of her illustrious pharmacy
career, her devotion to St. John’s and on the 55th anniversary of
her graduation, St. John’s University is pleased to present the
Pietas Medal to Nina Pannizzo Oliva.
