JohnCarl Ziegler graduated summa cum laude in 2008 from St.
John’s College of Professional Studies with a B.S. in Sport
Management and a minor in Communications. He is currently employed
with the New Jersey Devils as a live radio broadcast statistician
for all home and road games in the New York City metro area. His
responsibilities include observing and documenting on-going player
stats during live games, supplying the radio broadcaster and color
commentator with pertinent statistical information, insuring that
the broadcast crew is constantly apprised of relevant facts to keep
the play-by-play accounts smooth and exciting, and coordinating
post-game interviews with players. He also works as an internet
specialist and customer care representative at Manfredi Auto Group
and as a real estate entrepreneur, maintaining and renting
residences in Staten Island as part of the family business.
JohnCarl received numerous awards and honors during his time at St.
John’s, including the Marianne Noonan Award from St. John’s College
of Professional Studies, induction into Omicron Delta Kappa,
inclusion in “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities
& Colleges,” and election to St. John’s College of Professional
Studies Honor Society. JohnCarl was the student speaker at St.
John’s 2008 Commencement at the Staten Island campus and supports
the University as an active member of the Alumni Committee,
visiting the Staten Island campus often to interact with deans,
faculty, friends and students.
