Change Lives by Establishing a Scholarship

These days, we hear a lot about visionaries. People who have had the foresight to imagine the future as they want it to be and do something - just one significant thing - to set off a chain of events that makes that envisioned future come true.

You can be that visionary.

The chain of events has several links, but the first—and most important—is your establishment of a scholarship gift at St. John's University. The links in the chain are connected as you see in the graphic.

Your gift---The gift given opens a mind---The mind opened promises unbounded possibility---Unbounded possibility changes a life---A life changed improves the future

When you give the gift of establishing a scholarship, you make a difference in the lives of students and help to secure the future of our institution. You assist promising young students who, without your vision and commitment to philanthropy, may not otherwise have the means to attend college.

Unlike other types of financial aid, scholarships don’t need to be repaid. That means students who receive scholarships are not only relieved of debt, but also of the stress associated with coming up with necessary funds to pay for tuition and related education costs.

Through your actions, you demonstrate to young people how important it is to be part of a chain of events that can change lives - and change the future.

Take the First Step Today
When you give the gift of a scholarship, you receive all associated tax benefits.

You are also given the opportunity to name the gift you are so generously giving. Name the fund for yourself, in honor or memory of someone else, or after a cause that is important to you. After all, your endowed scholarship continues forever.

We can give you more information about annual or endowed scholarships that fit your financial, philanthropic and feel-good goals, all while helping you make your envisioned future come true.

Please take the first step to fulfilling your dreams - and the dreams of a student - today by contacting St. John's.  For more information, contact Susan Damiani at (718) 990-7562 or e-mail damianis@stjohns.edu
