President’s Dinner Raises
$2.2 Million
When 1,052 alumni and friends of St. John’s University gathered in
the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf~Astoria for the 13th Annual
President’s Dinner in October, they were participating in a
historic event that raised $2.2 million in revenue to support
student scholarships, making the 2010 event the most successful in
St. John’s history.

Alumni Tee Off for Scholarships One of the most enduring and popular alumni events, the
Alumni Golf Outing was held in October at the Nassau Country Club
in Glen Cove, Long Island. This annual event attracted over 100
alumni and friends and is organized to generate funds to support
the Long Island Alumni Golf Outing Scholarship Fund for St. John’s
most deserving students.

St. John’s University President Rev. Donald J. Harrington, C.M.
expressed his appreciation to the guests for their loyalty to the
University during the past year. “Tonight we have much to
celebrate, and it’s because of the people who have made St. John’s
