Staten Island Alumni Enjoy Baseball Game

September 10, 2007

More than 60 Staten Island alumni gathered at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark on a clear summer night to enjoy a baseball game and picnic dinner. The game, which had been re-scheduled because of a rainstorm, pitted the Staten Island Yankees against the division leading, Brooklyn Cyclones.

In addition to dinner, the alumni group spent quality time together and took in views of the scenic New York Harbor as the two minor league teams battled to get closer to their playoff goals. “This is terrific,” commented Steve Maresca ’72CBA. “It’s a very informal way to get together, without spending a lot of money. You can sit down and relax, watch some great baseball, and really catch up with some old friends.”

Staten Island Alumni Association members are active, planning multiple events annually including a family day later this fall.
