Chun-I Yeh, Ph.D. ’99G

Dr. Chun-I Yeh graduated from the National Taiwan University with a B.A. in Psychology. After finishing military service for two years in Taiwan, he came to the United States to attend St. John’s University, and received his M.A. in General/Experimental Psychology. He continued his study in the field of Neuroscience and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Connecticut. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, National Taiwan University, having previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Center of Neural Science at New York University from 2006 to 2011.

 One of his research projects, “The Spatiotemporal Receptive Fields of Single Neurons in Different Layers of Macaque Primary Visual Cortex” was awarded the Patterson Trust Postdoctoral Fellowship (2007-2009). His research focuses on understanding the neural basis of visual perception and decision making, which is essential for the studies of neural coding and brain functions.
