Leadership Roles are available to alumni who wish to become
actively involved with their fellow graduates while staying
connected to alma mater. You may choose to share your
leadership abilities in a number of ways, including:
- Participating in Annual Traditional Events. St. John’s is
built upon tradition, and alumni are encouraged to show their
support for the University by participating in annual events such
as the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Blessing of the Couples, our
various golf outings, etc.
- Serving as Chapter Leader. Chapter Leaders serve as the
primary liaison between their local/regional chapter and the
University and to alumni who are new to the region. They
provide leadership in planning programs, recruiting alumni as
Chapter Volunteers and serve as ambassadors to secure annual
donations from other chapter members.
- Serving as Chapter Volunteer. Chapter Volunteers assist
Chapter Leaders with the planning of chapter events. They
assist in generating attendance at chapter events.
- Serving as a Committee Member for Constituent Groups.
Many of our alumni have a special affinity for a particular campus
location, academic college or school, student activity, cultural
connection or other aspects of the University. Serving
as a Committee Member for any of these groups helps to foster the
connections of alumni with shared interests by planning and
promoting a variety of events and activities.
- Serving as a Volunteer for Alumni Reunion Celebration.
Alumni Reunion Celebration volunteers play an important role in the
success of this annual event. They participate in the
planning and implementation of events and communicate with other
alumni to solicit their participation and support.
