Guests got into the spirit of the upcoming game by sharing good food and good cheer as they swapped stories of their student days and caught up on what’s been happening with them recently.  Bill Schaeffer '73CBA, Director of Alumni Relations brought everyone up-to-date on the recent happenings at St. John’s University.  The alumni were particularly interested in learning about Alumni Reunion Celebration 2009, an exciting array of family fun activities scheduled for May 30 – 31 on the Queens and Staten Island campuses.

Schaeffer concluded his remarks by rewarding five lucky guests with great raffle items, including a signed mini basketball by Hall of Fame Men’s Basketball Coach Lou Carnesecca '50C, '60GEd, '00HON.

Alumni were vocal in their enjoyment of these ongoing receptions.  “I usually attend one of these receptions a year and I am never disappointed with the alumni I meet” said Felix Joseph '88SVC, '90CBA.  “These venues are a great way for alumni to meet and learn what’s going on at alma mater.”

The next pre-game reception is scheduled for Thursday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden as the Red Storm take on Duke University.
