More than 5,000 St. John's fans cheered as the University renamed Alumni Hall for legendary men's basketball Coach Lou Carnesecca on Tuesday, 23, 2004. At a moving halftime ceremony during St. John's game against St. Francis, the University announced that the historic building was now (Lou) Carnesecca Arena." The University also named the basketball court for the former coach. We invite you to relive the excitement by clicking on photos from the event, below.
