Softball Downed By Hofstra
May 01, 2008
Queens, NY -
The St. John's softball team (20-35) took on its local rival the
Hofstra Pride (36-10) in the final game of the year for the Red
Storm. The Pride offense struck early and hard and its pitching
kept St. John's off the board, taking the game 8-0 in five
innings.
St. John's got down early as erratic pitching allowed Hofstra to
plate four runs on just two hits in the top of the first inning.
Senior tri-captain Lisa Geer entered the game in relief to get the
Red Storm out of further trouble.
