Queens, NY - St. John's University's Department of Fine Arts is
proud to present "Art in the Marketplace: Alumni from St. John's
University's Department of Fine Arts" from January 11, 2005 to

Chung - Cheng Gallery). The gallery is located in Sun Yat-Sen Hall
on the Queens campus, 8000 Utopia Parkway, Queens, NY. Admission is
free of charge and open to the public.
Alumni of the St. John's University Department of Fine Arts have
made significant contributions to the field of professional design
in fashion, corporate identity, package design, the web and print
media. This exhibition celebrates the creative output of a select
group of alumni working in the field of graphic design.
"Since we view our Alumni as contributing members of the
department we want to incorporate their work into the current
programs taking place at the university," said Professor Paul
Fabozzi, Chairman of the Dept. of Fine Arts. "The goal of this
exhibition is to give students a look at the many opportunities for
artists in the field of professional design. This exhibit is a look
at the connection between art, commerce and
communication."
"Art in the Marketplace" may be viewed during gallery hours,
Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
