St. John's University School of Law celebrated the publication of the newest memoir of Franklin D. Roosevelt at a reception at the Williams Club on October 2, 2003. John Q. Barrett, Professor, St. John's University School of Law and an Elizabeth S. Lenna Fellow at the Jackson Center, edited, introduced and published a stunning find: Justice Robert Jackson's previously unknown, never published memoir of President Franklin D. Roosevelt entitled
That Man: An Insider's Portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Among the many guests attending the reception and book signing was historian Arthur J. Schlesinger and Nancy Jackson, daughter-in-law of the late Robert H. Jackson. Having received positive reviews from the
Washington Post and
The Wall Street Journal,
That Man is a Book of the Month Club and History Book Club main selection.
