NY1 Broadcasts Live From St. John's University Debate Watch Party

November 09, 2012

St. John’s University continued its PARTICIPATE ’12 program on Tuesday, October 16, hosting its second of three Presidential Debate watch parties. NY1 News correspondent Courtney Gross spent the evening with students in the Welcome Center, covering the events at St. John’s through live stand-ups during NY1’s broadcast.

Gross’ coverage included interviews with several students on hand to watch the debate, and Brian Browne, St John’s Assistant Vice President of Government Relations, who heads St. John’s PARTICIPATE ’12 initiative. Prior to the viewing of the Presidential Debate, students held a “Debate Before the Debate,” covering various topics including the economy, education, and gun control.
