Guests attended mass and a celebratory brunch held in Dr.
Franzetti’s honor. Several of Dr. Franzetti’s colleagues, including

Following the tributes, Dr. Franzetti humbly shared his
overwhelming gratitude to his family for their love and support and
to the St. John’s faculty and administration for this honor. Guests
were then given the opportunity to meet with Dr. Franzetti and
share their own memories and congratulations.
Attendees were effusive in their praise of Dr. Franzetti, noting
that the honor is well-deserved. Pamela Dalton, assistant dean in
the College of Professional Studies, said, “This was a wonderful
event to honor Dr. Franzetti…We in the College of Professional
Studies are blessed to be the recipients of his efforts and
knowledge.”
When asked what he admires about his father, Paul Franzetti,
adjunct associate professor, said, “There are no words to describe
my father’s generosity.” Many who attended the event can attest to
that, having been touched by Dr. Franzetti over the years. Barrie
Rosen, adjunct professor of English, recalled, ”Jack hired me and
I’ve been working here 20 years. He has had a tremendous impact [on
St. John’s University.]”
