Inside, there is space for every campus activity. The first and second floors house the Division of Student Affairs, a recreation center, offices and meeting spaces for St. John’s 180 student clubs and organizations. The Center also features high-tech classrooms, conference rooms, a full-service cafeteria and a Starbucks Café. The sunlit lounge features plush seating, floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace.
In the University’s quest to continue its successful Sustainability Initiative, the D’Angelo Center was constructed according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards and includes many energy-saving mechanical and electrical systems. Green Features: All of the windows of the building allow natural light to flood the spaces, while reflective glass keeps the heat out, in addition, the materials used in the furniture, carpet, etc. throughout the building come from recycled materials.
