Before students are invited to select an assignment for the
Fall, each are assigned housing selection points to determine their
priority for selection. Points are awarded based on the Primary
Criteria stated below. Students considering applying for University
housing should give great thought and review to the criteria below
before applying.
Primary Criteria
Academic Standing/Grade Point
Average (Determined by the Registrar’s office through earned
academic credits upon completion of the Fall 2012 semester)
Reminder: Students with a cumulative G.P.A less than a 2.0 at the
completion of the Fall 2012 term will not be eligible to
participate.
- 10 points – Current GPA is 3.75 or higher
- 8 points – Current GPA is between 3.50 and
3.74
- 7 points – Current GPA is between
3.25 and 3.49
- 5 points - Current GPA is between 3.00 and
3.24
- 4 points - Current GPA is between 2.51 and
2.99
- 3 points - Current GPA is between 2.00 and
2.50
Student Conduct History
Reminder: Students who have received sanctions permanently
restricting them from University-managed living properties and/or
students on Academic Probation (cumulative GPA less than 2.0) will
not be eligible to participate in the Housing Selection
process:
- 10 points - No Student Code of Conduct violations
during academic tenure
- 8 points – Two (2) visitation violations between Fall
2011 – present}
- 7 points – One (1) minor violation of the Student Code
of Conduct during academic tenure; or three or more (≥ 3)
visitation violations between Fall 2011 – present
- 3 points – Two (2) minor violations of the Student Code
of Conduct during academic tenure; or one (1) serious violation of
the Student Code of Conduct during academic
tenure
- 0 points – Two or more (≥ 2) serious violations
of the Student Code of Conduct; or three or more (≥ 3) minor
violations of the Student Code of Conduct; or recidivist behavior
(i.e., multiple violations of the same policy regardless of its
nature)
Class Status
(Determined by earned academic credits through the Registrar’s
office at the completion of the Fall 2012 semester)
- 4 – Earned credits is 91 or higher (Senior - 4th year,
5th & 6th year Pharmacy)
- 3 – Earned credits is between 56-90 (Junior – 3rd
year)
- 2 – Earned credits is between 25-55 (Sophomore – 2nd
year)
- 1 – Earned credits is between 0-24 (Freshmen – 1st
year)

calculated in the following manner:
(GPA Points + Student Conduct Points) x (Class Status) =
Housing Selection Points
Students participating in the process with roommates (i.e. Room
Selection or Suite/Apartment Selection) will have their housing
selection points averaged during the “Housing Selection Daze”
invitation review process.
