The African Students Association is a cultural organization with an African and Afro-American focus that informs students of St. John's University about the continent of Africa. It brings the African and non-African students of St. John's University together as we celebrate, learn about and discuss issues that concern our continent. We, as an Organization, host incoming international students from Africa, help them adjust to the American culture and education system, and do our best to mentor them for their first years in the American community setting.

Organization's Mission
The African Students Association is dedicated to developing cultural, social, intellectual and academic diversity through educating about and celebrating the African continent.  The African Students Association strives to bring hope to the hopeless, help to the needy and comfort to the troubles of Africa and the United States, as part of our Vincentian duty.
