Alpha Mentoring - Benefits
Alpha Mentoring - Benefits
Students participating in the program are benefiting from:
One To One Interaction With Your Mentor: Throughout the academic year, mentors will offer academic, social, and personal support through weekly meetings, monthly workshops and group studies for midterm and final exams. Mentees is enable to frequently interact with with their mentors by phone calls, via e-mails, and meeting in person.
Monthly Workshops: Mentors and mentees will together attend various monthly workshops facilitated by professional administrations from affected offices to encourage academic excellence and improve learning outcomes.
Group Study with Your Mentor for Midterm/Final Exams: Mentors will gather their mentees to form a study group using the University library facilities to study together for mindterm and final examinations. This provides mentees an opportunity to receive useful information and effective advisement for their exam preparation.
Cultural Awareness Through Field Experience: Mentees will be invited to a variety of on- and off-campus events/activities celebrating the cultural diversity of our students and our nation.
Community Service: Throughout the academic year, mentors and mentees will together conduct various community services that provide mentors and mentees an opportunity to "give back" to the society and also allow them to strengthen additional bonding within the group.
